What is SigmaPage?

SigmaPage is a fast, secure, web-based paging solution to reach physicians. The solution is extremely easy to use and saves costs over traditional answering and paging services by leveraging cutting edge technology. Human errors are eliminated completely in this web-based system.

The solution has the following four components:
  1. On-Call Scheduling system (OCS): Facilitates scheduling of on-call physicians, nurses and administrators. Some hospitals have multiple providers, practices and departments and may need coverage at multiple locations and in different sections within the same location. Physicians and administrators in hospitals or group practices can use SigmaPage to create, maintain or change on-call schedules using a powerful On Call Scheduling (OCS) system.
  2. On-Call Paging system (OCP): Nurses in hospitals and nursing homes do not need to remember or store physicians’ contact numbers and make phone calls to answering service to page them or contact them. They can search and locate physicians and page them directly within a matter of seconds.
  3. Clik2Talk: This feature facilitates direct calls between providers (nurse-to-physician or physician-to-physician) through the web-based system.
  4. Interactive Voice Response (IVR): When patients call your practice after office hours, the IVR system routes their calls and pages on-call physician for them.

How much does the service cost?

Private practices who sign up for SigmaPage pay $100 per physician per month. This cost includes:

  1. Unlimited paging,
  2. Unlimited use of the OCS including unlimited changes to the schedule,
  3. After hours use of the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system

Clik2Talk is charged on a pay per use basis. The cost of this feature is $0.12 per minute. This does not include use of cell phone minutes or charges by your cell phone service provider, which may be additional based on your calling plan. Please check with your service provider for details.

Hospitals have different needs than private practices. To discuss pricing for your hospital, please contact us at sales@sigmapage.com.

What device can I use for my paging needs?

SigmaPage service is device-independent. This means we will deliver the page on any device and you can choose to receive pages on your device of choice. You may also choose to save money by making your smart phone or cell phone your device of choice and stop using your numeric or alphanumeric pager.

How much time does it take for the page to be delivered?

Most pages are delivered within 2 seconds. Depending on your service provider, some pages may take as long as 10 seconds to be delivered. SigmaPage does not assume responsibility for undelivered pages when cellular service is not available on your device. How does SigmaPage compare to other paging services?

SigmaPage has an intelligent On-Call Scheduling (OCS) system that automatically finds the physician on call. This makes the nurses' job much easier.
We offer unlimited paging at a fixed low cost to you, which no one else does.

Nurses do not need to remember or look up phone numbers to page an on-call physician. Nurses do not need to pick up the phone and dial phone numbers or make calls to the answering service to have a physician call them back. No annoying faxes to the answering service every time a change is made to the schedule.

Physicians can choose to receive pages on any device and even change the device at any time according to their needs.

What are the system requirements for SigmaPage?
To use SigmaPage, you will need:
  1. An internet enabled computer
  2. A web browser with Flash

That's all. No need for any annoying software downloads or upgrades.

Can I use SigmaPage from the browser of my handheld wireless device (cell phone, smart phone, etc)?

In the near future, we will make access to SigmaPage available over smartphones and cell phones.

How does SigmaPage know who is on call?

The On-Call Scheduling calendar offers flexibility to model and create complex call schedules. The OCS drives on-call availability.

What is Clik2Talk?

The Clik2Talk feature facilitates direct calls between providers (nurse-to-physician or physician-to-physician) through the web-based system. SigmaPage uses the stored contact number for physicians and does not display this contact info at any time to protect the privacy of the physician. When a healthcare provider (physician or nurse) would like to speak to a physician directly, he/she enters his/her number and presses the Clik2Talk button. The phone on the HCP end rings within seconds. When the ringing phone is picked up, the HCP hears the message: "This is SigmaPage. Please wait while we connect you to the requested healthcare provider". The phone is then automatically connected to the physician using his/her stored contact info. The two parties are then connected and they go on to have a conversation.

What are the charges for Clik2Talk?

Clik2Talk is charged on a pay per use basis. The cost of this feature is $0.12 per minute. This does not include use of cellphone minutes or charges by your cellphone service provider.

What is the Cancellation Policy for the service?

You are signed up till the end of the calendar month with SigmaPage. You will have to pay till the end of the month for the service. There are no charges to cancel the service. To cancel service, please contact us via email at support@sigmapage.com before the end of the calendar month and we will confirm your service cancellation.
